For an adapted and specialized version of ON Running’s signature CloudTec® technology, nothing was left up to chance. Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), each component of the prototype was simulated while running. The invaluable insights gained from this method allowed On to create the optimal midsole for a seamless weight transfer from heel to toe. The resulting CloudTec Phase™ introduces a new era of cushioning, available exclusively in On Running’s Cloud Surfer 7, providing a unique and unparalleled running experience.

Less plastic, less water.

On specified that they are not riding the sustainability wave but they are creating their own. To save on water, the Cloudsurfer’s yarn is colored using a dope dyeing process that requires 90% less water than standard techniques. They also ditched the plastic overlays and bumped up the shoe’s total recycled content to 30%.
